| A Decade of Excellence - Our Warranty
in Writing
2005
- Peak Motorcycle Security’s 11th year in business as dedicated bike
security specialists!
We
have always provided a simple and fair solution to any warranty issues – we
want to tell you about our guidelines. The VSIB requires that we have warranty
procedures explained to our customers.
We
offer proper warranty on all products we sell. Even if the product is out
of warranty or has been purchased from another dealer, we will listen to
any concerns you have and we take steps to rectify it either no cost or
at as low cost to you as possible (i.e. by supplying you reconditioned
parts etc.)
As
with any warranty, reasonable wear and tear and crash damage etc. is excluded, as is fitting of aftermarket indicators.
All alarm products we sell and fit during 2005 carry an unlimited
warranty for you as long as you keep the bike – we do not sell inflated ‘extended
warranty’ packages. (Any subcontract alarm installations we undertake
have warranty on fitting quality only and all warranty claims should be routed
via the Company you purchased the alarm from.)
If you either change address or sell the bike to a new owner living in
a different area, then we may have to charge travelling costs if an on
site visit is required within warranty. Alternatively we could refer you
to a regional operator to carry out labour charged to you but parts required
would be at no cost
Any bikes sold on to a new owner may have warranty transferred – we
limit our liability to parts only if the alarm is outside the normal
alarm manufacturers warranty, meaning labour is chargeable. We require
notification
by the new owner within 4 weeks of ownership change.
We ask for some evidence
of fitment (e.g. invoice or installation certificate) in the event of
a warranty claim.
In order for us to complete a warranty claim, we must have both alarm
keys, and in the case of Meta alarms, we MUST have the red code card
supplied
by us when the alarm was new.
We also provide warranty packages underwritten
by us for alarms not fitted by us – ask for details!
FINALLY – The
ultimate service challenge! You want to know about how our customers
view us? Then why not post a message on any motorcycle
forum asking what service we offer – and if there has been a
problem, how was it handled?
